What is homecoming???????
Don't say I'm stupid or whatever. I'm from England and we don't have those. Can someone please explain por fa?

our homecoming is next week.
homecoming week is like honoring each school. Its the students turn to go crazy and have fun. Its also most likely the first dance of the year. In the beginning of the week you usually go t-ping people's houses with toilet paper(throwing the paper in trees and on cars just for the fun of it) and you have to try not to get caught. then there are different days during the week of school like black and white day, or wacky day, or pajama day, and then friday night is the homecoming football game which is the biggest game of the year. and that saturday the semi-formal homecoming dance ends homecoming week.

- homecoming is the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Robert Burns, the famous scots poet and lyricist. It's a really big celebration this year in an attempt to get people to feel more scottish and to get more tourists (from America, Canada and Australia) to come and search for their 'heritage' because so many of them have scottish ancestors that left during the highland clearances.

- According to Wikipedia, Homecoming is where former studes/ grads return to attend an event usually a football game...and the make a huge fuss about it, kinda like a big party ... i prefer Callies dance version though.. more romantic for the young uns.
I've always thought that here in the UK we should have had Proms and drive ins etc.... so, I don't think your silly at all by being inquisitive. - homecoming is the first dance of the year (usually only in highschools, sometimes in middleschools) and basically its like saying "coming home" like coming back to school dance... like we are all so happy about that anyway hahaha
- it has to do with our sports (football-- but not the soccer kind)
and its the homecoming game and then the homecoming dance celebrating the game - lol, it's the sixth game from Silent Hill game series =)
