What do you think about an11 year old getting her nose pierced?

my sister is 11 and my mom told her she could get her nose pierced, i just couldn't believe this, do you think this is normal???

• I would have to agree with you on this matter. getting a nose piercing is not in my opinion appropriate for an 11 year old she may regret that decision later on in life. However the final decision rest entirely with your mother and as long as she is not putting her in harm's way you have to respect that descion

• Don't let her do it. Get her to see that she can spend her money in a hundred better ways. All she is doing is bowing to peer pressure. Tell her to be an independent person. Tell her to be a girl who DOESN'T have piercings. Then she won't look like everybody else. Tell her they hurt, and can get infected. Just stop her from doing it.
• I don't have a problem with nose piercings, but I think 11 is WAY too young. I'm 16 years old and I think only several people in my class of 400-something people have their nose pierced. Seriously, however badly she wants it, she should really wait! I'm 99.9% positive she'll be the only one with a nose piercing....will she be made fun of? Anyway, too young.
• i personallly dont like nose piercings as i think they look cheap and tacky on almost everyone, but ESPECIALLY on an eleven year old girl. shes way too young in my opinion and it will look really bad, i think she should wait til shes at least thirteen and then rethink whether or not she wants one.
• omg hell no. My mom didn't even let me peirce my ears at age 13. my god. im sorry, she would get a HORRIBLE impression and her nose would hurt like crap. When teachers and other kids see her they would definetly think this " wtf!" i'm serious. For the sake of your own sister, don't let her! 15 year olds with nose rings give bad impressions enough! please! Its so not normal!
• in all truth my dd never had a problem with anything i wanted to do in the sense of piercings and things like, he allowed me a tattoo at the age of 17 (uk) however he knew i had my head screwed on and knew it was on my head knowig it would be there for life. a nose piercing will be there but if she changes he mind later when she grows up a little and they become ''not cool'' she will remove it. i see it s the fct its something that can heal where as a tattoo is for life so i wouldnt say its a problem
• its up to her but i think she should wait till she starts highschool she can get it done then i just think it would be unessary in primary school, i got mine done when i was 13 :-) but as i say its up to her i didnt even want mine done when i was 11. Your mum probs thinks shes too young and theres no need for it just yet. xox

  i think she is too yong.. hey she's 11 so u can scare her.. tell her since she is only 11 her skin is still very soft so if she pierces her nose now then the piercing is gona get too big by the time she's 20 and the pin may get stuck in her nose while she's a sleep...

• No, I think her ears would be fine but, not any other body part. Your mom is asking for trouble . If she's letting her do this type of thing at 11 then there's no end to the things she might want done at 15.
• Lol, my mom told me I could get my nosed pierced when I was 8 (i didnt want to). But no i dont think kids should get anything besides ears pierced until theyre 13

• Wow 11 year old is young but with parental consent it can be legally done. I am surprised that an 11 year old would think of that.
