How do i know what i look like?

i looked hideous in a photo this morning, yet i looked alright with one in the mirror and then i took one normally later on not in the mirror like the first one and i looked fine. Which one is right?

Photos are what you really look like to other people - mirrors show a reversed image. But on the other hand photos often capture bad expressions so they're not 100% trustworthy in rating your looks.

• Any photo you take is exactly how you look. Different facial expressions make you look different. But I know how you feel. I always think I look bad in photos, but when I look in the mirror, I think I'm more on the beautiful side. I must be somewhere in between. Also, most of us have moments where ppl consider us pretty and other times where they wouldn't even notice us.
• smear panoxyl all over your face then take a photo with a red lense, you will see ay spots or bumps and the lighting wont change the photo! i used this technique after my mum told me it and it works.
