How do you use an epilator?

I bought an epilator and it doesn't seem to be working that well - i'm pretty sure its a problem with my technique.

So can you epilator using ladies tell me step by step exactly how you use yours? :)

You just run it across your skin. I go up and down in a hurry but the proper way to do it is to go slow, smooth circles because not all the hair comes of in one stroke.
