Clothes: vintage or trendy? What do you prefer?

I don't do trends and prefer vintage any day. :D

Vintage. True Vintage. None of that Hollister vintage junk that is called vintage just because it looks old, and like a T-shirt from the 70s.

I'm not a trendy person. I wear what I like..and most of what I wear is or looks like it comes from the 40s.

• A good common mix always looks good. If your going to a party then i suggest a hip mini dress with a black leather jacket. The mini dress will add a fresh new look but with the classic leather jacket, it will look even better. You could even add a statement piece necklace depending on how busy the dress is. If you want to add trendyness to the outfit then go for something metallic or big. If you want more vintage then go for pearls or something similar. I could never choose between the two because i think trendy and vintage look very good together.

• Trendy. Vintage makes you look like you're trying way too hard about 90% of the time. Have you ever been on lookbook? ugh. But with trendy clothes you only look like you're trying too hard 1/2 the time so you're better off that way. People who were genuine vintage are usually a lot more pretentious and snobby than people who wear normal clothes. I've found that to be the case.
  
  My own personal style is basically denim jeans or shorts (i really like distressed denim so most of my shorts are shredded up, but i dislike distressed jeans) with a t shirt (usually a band shirt). Not sure what you'd call that.
• I have always worn vintage way before it became trendy- Vintage clothing appeals to me because i like the fact that the clothes had a 'life' before i bought them, and when i'm finished with that item i pass it on so someone else can enjoy it!

  Converse, or some shoes that are really worn in, and a good pair of light wash jeans is what i call vintage, so that is what i wear. Most people would probably disagree with me though
• Vintage has become a trend....I say whichever piece of clothing is cuter to me...I don't really care if it's trendy or not.
