I would only get highlights. If you coloured your hair like that, it might look a little strange.

Resolved Question

Advice for sensitive & dry skin please? ANYTHING you know!! thanks :D?

Like what ingredients are good and what are bad?? Which products should i not use and which is the best brand, i have extremely sensitive skin and very flaky.

Also is Sodium Lauryl Sulphate bad for sensitive skin??

Hi Emaleigh
Firstly, I personally would avoid the 3 C's - Clinique,Clarins and Clearasil. I work ievery timeclinic and everytime someone has a skin analysis if their skin is both dry and irritated usually they have used one of the 3 cs.
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate may or may not be sensitive for dry skin (dependent on what makes your skin sensitive) but frankly I believe some people get over anxoius over this product, mainly because it is in household and washing detergents -it's there for a reason and does do a similar job in cleaning the skin. I have seen people with sensitive skin use mild skin cleansers containing this and they have been absolutely fine.
Perhaps you should try a cream cleanser rather than a wash and please do not get caught up in the need to exfoliate too often. I have seen many a person with dry, flakey skin who tell me they exfoliate practically everyday, using pretty aggresive products. If you do want to exfoliate then something with Kaolin beads for example Environ's claytech mask (leave it on overnight, rinse off in the morning and your skin will feel lovely.
If you prefer to use a wash then you could also use a pre-cleanser such as Environ's Aquatrol
it's a fine mineral oil which lift the dirt and prevents the skin from drying out.
Another brand we love is IMAGE they have a few lovely cleansers and excellent moisturisers, people particularly love the Vital C range and the Ormedic organic range. Unfortunately, the products I mentioned are available through clinics such as ours (courtneybell.co.uk) and we really do need to see you to prescribe the best products for you, however I am sure you would find them in your area. Another thing you might want to consider is ensuring you are getting plenty Omega oils, as I am sure you are aware this is found in seeds, nuts and oily fish, I noticed a huge improvement when taking Flaxseed/Linseeds (available from most health food stores) these are a particurly good source-make sure you grind them so they are really fine and make sure you drink plenty of water. Alternatively take some good quality fish oils. Vitamin C and Zinc are also excellent for your skin (IIAA does a great range of vits which help your skin).
I hope this has helped.

  • Try not to wash and dry your skin too much, this can dry it out even more. Also this means try not too have showers that are too hot either, this can really damage sensitive skin. A cream that is good for treating dry skin and eczema is the emollient cream, Cetraben. I use this on my eczema every day, it's great for keeping skin moist for a long time. :)

    Source(s):

  • all i kno is that E-45 creme is the best ever! it's specially made for dry skin etc, i use it and my skin always stays smooth....i've heard that Sodium Lauryl Sulphate is not good for the skin cos it causes allergic reactions and it's supposed to be found in shampoos not skin care....
  • You van try this. Once a week take a milk bath it will nourish and smoothen your skin. Mix two table spoons of milk powder in your bucket of water and use it for bathing and rinse with plain water in the end. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at http://usefulinfo-dry.blogspot.com/
  • Neutrogena is great for sensitive skin. They have products that leave skin feeling smooth and soft and don't have harsh chemicals.

  • What i have noticed is that when u take showers don't take hot or warm one they tend to dry your skin even more..

Resolved Question

Do you girls realise you are all gorgeous?

I wish you wouldn't be so insecure! A little time and effort is all it takes, you can have your have done up, some make up, sexy undies, a pretty dress and some sexy heels and your all gorgeous. And you can have so much fun in the process. Just having a little more confidence makes all the difference, smile, head up and shoulders back.

Also could you answer another question of mine? Thanks

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Technicaly, the bubbles are clear. They difuse the light, making it look as thought he bubbles are white. There is actually very little of the bubble bath material in each bubble, not enough to affect the coloring of the individual bubbles.

Hope I helped :)

  • If this is for your art class (which tbh i doubt it actually is) then go for the last one.

But how can I tell if you're pretty or not when there is only one picture without effects?

You look very different in that picture than you do in the other but from that photo I'd rate you probably a 6.5/10.

    Hope I helped

    G x
  • um...go with the last pic and ur eye makeup is too heavy and u should consider like a side swept bang...

    Source(s):

  • I'd go with either number 5 or 6. In the other ones you have too much eye make-up on

    Source(s):

  • 5 or 6
    you're pretty :)
but i dont like your hair
  • i dont know
  • The first one is the best I think, but the quality of the photo isn't great. I don't know about number 4 because it said I needed a password to see it? *shrug*

Number 3 is nice but there is not enough detail in the picture for you to be able to use it for an art project.

I also like the last one a lot (and you're not ugly!) but again, there's not really enough detail for an art project. But maybe the original of this photo (without the effects) would be good?

    Hope that helps x

Do guys actually like painted nails on girls: guys only please?

Resolved Question

Do guys actually like painted nails on girls: guys only please?

In my opinion I thought guys wouldn't like painted nails like bright pink or blue or something because it looks fussy and preppy. Do guys like it when girls have nail varnish on and if so what colours do you not like on girls or like? Or is it just a 'whatever' point?

Thanks!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

Though I'm not a guy I have had a boyfriend for 2 years. He actually likes it when I paint my nails (especially when they're a cute color or design). If you do it right they think it's cute.

Though some guys could really care less. It just depends on the guy

  • Well painted nails (without being all diamond studded and bling bling blingy are fab.... I even once know a girl with the ultimate pierced nail like JPG did in the early nineties. fierce. Just dont have chipped varnish... makes you look trashy. And rouge noire only if you are mature enough, or exceptionally stunning, otherwise you look like a wannabe. but as you might guess this is the camp response.
  • Well lets see, you got one so called dude who thinks they are "just fab" and another who thinks it is cunning.... I am sure they both like their BF's nails painted. Now lemme tell you what a real man thinks... WHO FKIN CARES!!!! If you think for one second that a dude gives a rats azz about your nails you have a lot to learn, Here is what you do... come monday go ahead and make your nails a new color and wear em for the day. At the end of the day, put your hands in your pockets and ask any guy what color they are. They will not know & will not care! Men do not care about nails, makeup (other then stop wearing the chit) or the clothes you wear. THAT IS WHY WE CHEAT CUZ YOU WONT SHUT UP ABOUT YOUR NAILS!!!
  • me personally.. i don't see the point in it.. but if that's what it takes for her to feel good about herself so be it,
    feel the same about makeup
  • With or without I'm not really bothered but I do think it's a cunning idea for the women to varnish their nails so that the dirt underneath don't show......
  • i dont really like nail polish/paint/whatever all that much but if u do wear it it should be something subtle like black or white... nothing that sticks out
  • i like them... deffenetly blue....

But I do agreee with everyone else maybe that's just a bad picture, who hasn't gotten bad pictures of them selves taken ?
She's really pretty though ^-^

I wouldnt because I like a man to be more manly and rugged, with body hair.
Karate is cool
pretty faces can be cool sometimes
nice and honest is good
and so is good dress sense

but I am not attracted to metros who shape their eyebrows :S or wear mascara or are too prim and propper looking.

Women want men who will make them feel feminine. It would take a very secure woman to date an effeminate man. She would need to be very feminine herself

Hey i'm trying to be more, feminine, girly, womanly, help?

i would like information on:
Exercises to tone,
Clothes - spring/ summer fashion 2010
Shoes - and how to walk in heels
Makeup
Hair
Mannerisms
speech
personality
Just lots of different things :)

Thank you for your help

Here are some websites:

These are for exercise:

I've put some shop sites as there are a wide range of clothes on there for you to pick:

http://www.oasis-stores.com/casualdresse…

For walkin in heels:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usrs6cm2v…

For make up: ( the first 2 are to be watched one after the other)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPnQuTV5s…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_m1ws7ol…

For hair I've got afew because I don't know what your hair's like:
http://www.thehairstyler.com/virtual-hai…
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRGU1KSpu…

To speak like more girly you just have to gossip, but not be b*tchy, and talk about anyting you like. Speach isn't that big. Also, to sit like girl sit with your legs crossed when on a chair or with them together. For personality, just be yourself, people like you for who you are not for what your trying to be.

So, just be yourself and you'll be ok!

Hope I helped = )
Good Luck

I think these external ideas would be a good start, as for the mannerisms and speech, I can't help you, sorry have to look elswhere or get help from someone who does know.
These are all just ideas your style may be different and you might want a physical store
  • clothes- whilst its still cold wear top and leggings, in summer where summer dresses of bright colours that are loose
heels- not necessary at current fashion, ankle boots with legging etc, then gladiator sandles with dresses, if heels are necessary, just wear them around the house and move your hips gently
make-up- depends on face, go with concealer (if needed) blusher and MASCARA (opens up eyes-best feature for most people)
hair- ALWAYS DOWN if you have a natural wave, keep it, if not straighten to look sleek
mannerisms- flirt! anytime anywhere, if with a guy touch his arm or something
speech- idk just be yourself but dont like swear all over the place
    personality- confidence is key

Hope this helped, but dont change yourself too much! be yourself x
  • On the exercises to tone part, if its your stomach, you should try lying on your back, then squeeze all of your tummy area tight, while you pull your knee as far as you can to your chest, then do the same with the other.
For your arms you could try these tips http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/exercise/body_toning/upper_body.htm

And about the personality, don't try change it too much 'kay? Just add to it, I guess, with the extra new feminie you :)
  • Just a guess but you're a crossdresser, right? I'm saying that because I've never heard a girl ask about all the things you want to know about at least not an entire list of things which just come naturally for most girls anyway. If you are(?) maybe a better place to ask would be a crossdresser forum or site where there are others who share your interests? No offense intended, its just a thought!
  • Here are some tips I heard from someone:

do more household works like cleaning and dishwashing
    more feminine dress
do not shout a lot it increases your hormone and makes you more masculine
eat like a lady, small portions and slowly
exercise but not like a man , drumbells and all
and above all never fart like a man does be silent
  • casual wear dress like beyonce or lady gaga (watch videos). boys dig that.
winter formal wear is mini skirt and babies jackets exposing midriff and Uglyboots. boys don't understand why, its just a girl thing. speach, substitute basically with LOL or OMG.

rule of thumb, if a guy says they like what u r wearing, truth is don't give a hoot (unless u r dressed like beyonce) thats your cue to change into something else, however long it takes
  • Increasing your dose of Hormone Replacement Therapy would probably work. Please speak to your general practitioner first. Electrolyis for the beard can also work wonders. Easiest and cheapest method would probably be waxing but that isn't a long term solution. Are you pre or post op?
  • see beauty consultant, get some advise from them. keep long hair and do some layer on it. its nice to do highlight too. put light makeup and apply lip gloss. don't forget to do manicure and pedicure and facial too. good luck

Why are my nails doing this?

Resolved Question

Why are my nails doing this?

my nails are kinda going a yellowy colour.
is this because i use alot of yellow nail varnish?
i do use ALOT of nail varnish.
sorry i havent got any pictures .
my nails are long but not fake.
they're about 1cm off my finger each.
is it medical or is it jst coz i use lots of nail varnish.
helppp coz people are commenting on it and its annoyingg.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker

I have the same problem. It's nothing medical. But when you go from nail polish to nail polish without letting your nails breathe in between, they start to become Vitamin D deficient, plus not having been given the chance to expel any of the chemicals from the polish. Let them go bare for about a week and they should be back to normal:)

  • This will be because you wear a lot of nail varnish. Dark coloured ones and bright colours are usually this worst for this.
I suggest you stop wearing so much nail varnish, and give time for the staining to fade, or grow out, which it will eventually do.
If it is absolutely necessary for you to where nail varnish, then put a clear base coat on underneath the colour.
    Hope this helps :)
  • Its normal unless its like really really discoloured. Not to damage your nails make sure you apply two base coats, then the colour, and then a topcoat. If you live here in the UK, you can get nail whitening tablets from Superdrug for a couple of quid. Just soak your nails in them and voilĂ !
    :)
  • basically you have painted you nails for too long a period of time (if that makes sense)

your nails are suffering from a lack in vitamin D (sunlight)

the same thing would happen to your skin if you never let it see sunlight

it will go away in time, it takes different time for different people
  • your nail varnish can stain your nails. When you remove your nail polish wait a few days before putting any more of and use a base coat

I've never heard of a 13 year old having double d's, but if you got it flaunt it, haha.
Sounds like you have a pretty good body for a 13 yr old, be proud of it
